Refund Policy

1. Purpose

This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which tuition fees, registration fees, and related payments made to ThinkUp Academy Malawi may be refunded. By enrolling in any programme, course, or service offered by ThinkUp Academy Malawi, the student agrees to this policy.

2. Non-Refundable Fees

The following fees are strictly non-refundable:

Registration / Application Fees
Admission Processing Fees
Administrative Fees
Digital Platform Access Fees
Issued Study Materials (physical or digital)
Examination Booking Fees (once confirmed)

These costs are incurred immediately upon processing and cannot be reversed.

3. Tuition Fee Refunds

3.1 Before Course Commencement

If a student withdraws in writing before the official start date:

Tuition fees may be refunded
Less any non-refundable administrative charges
Less any materials already issued

3.2 Within 7 Days of Course Start

If withdrawal occurs within seven (7) calendar days after commencement:

Up to 50% of tuition fees may be refunded
Provided no significant course content has been accessed
Physical materials must be returned unused

3.3 After 7 Days of Course Start

No refunds will be issued after 7 days from the course start date.

4. Payment Plans

All instalments due before withdrawal remain payable
Failure to complete payment does not qualify for refund
Outstanding balances remain legally enforceable

5. Course Postponement or Transfer

Students may request course deferral or transfer instead of a refund. Approval is subject to management discretion and administrative fees may apply.

6. Institutional Cancellation

If ThinkUp Academy Malawi cancels a programme due to operational or regulatory reasons, students may receive:

A full tuition refund, or
Transfer to an alternative programme

7. Special Circumstances

Refunds due to medical emergencies or serious hardship must be supported by official documentation. Approval remains at the discretion of management.

8. Refund Processing

Requests must be submitted in writing to: malawi@thinkupacademy.com
Processing time: 14–21 business days after approval
Refunds issued only to the original payer
Bank charges (if applicable) will be deducted

9. No Refund For

Failure to attend classes
Failure to complete assessments
Change of mind
Personal scheduling conflicts
Academic failure

Enrollment confirms commitment. Students are advised to review programme details carefully before payment.

10. Policy Updates

ThinkUp Academy Malawi reserves the right to update this policy. The version in effect at the time of enrollment shall apply.
